Dota 2 switches to Source 2, Reborn update now live

September 10, 2015
Dota 2 Reborn, probably the most significant tech update since the game's launch, is now live. The central change is the new engine, as Dota 2 now runs on Source 2. It's also Valve's first game to use the engine.

The menus and the user interface are getting an overhaul as well, and some new features are being introduced. Dota 2 will now support "Custom Games," allowing players to create game modes of their own. Also, Dota Levels bring trophies to commemorate your achievements in the game.

Have you given the new Dota 2 a try yet? What do you think?
