The prize pool of this year's The International, Valve's own Dota 2 tournament, has passed $11 million. With this The International 2015 not only beat the prize pool from last year, but also became the eSport event with the biggest prize pool ever.  

The International 2014 collected $10,930,698 of prize money, while this year's tournament currently has a $11,547,465 prize pool. As the event is scheduled to begin on August 3rd, this leaves two months for the number to rise even higher, possibly even reaching the ultimate stretch goal of $15,000,000.
