My main survival tool will be a large metal hammer. With a hammer it will never dull like a blade after a few swipes. It can crush the skulls of any creatures that arise or other humans. Also, it's big and so it'll scare people away. Think about it, someone comes up to me with a knife and I take out a huge metal hammer covered in blood. It's strong enough to clear through paths and I can use it to pitch a tent.
