No Half-Life 3 ARG, Says Valve
According to Valve's Marc Laidlaw, there is no active ARG that involves the Half-Life series at this time.
Ever since the appearance of Portal 2's Wheatley at the Spike VGA gamers have been speculating about a possible ARG that hints at a new Half-Life game. The sighting of a Valve employee in a Half-Life 3 t-shirt earlier this month didn't help to lower the teperature either.
However, Marc Laidlaw, lead writer on the the Half-Life series, has denied that there's any Valve ARG currently going on.
"There is no ARG at this time," wrote Laidlaw in an e-mail to Valve community portal LambdaGeneration.
"Given the amazing concerted processing power of the community, if there had been, they would certainly have cracked it by now."
There you go people. No ARG means you can stop wrecking your brains with non-existent clues and go back to dreaming of Half-Life 3. I know I will.
