New Witcher 2 Developer Diary
GameTrailers posted the new developer diary video for upcoming RPG witcher 2.
The new developer diary from CD Projekt for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings details the game's combat system. It also shows some footage of the game's opening section so if you don't want to spoil some story elements don't watch.
The game's protagonist Gerald will already at the beginning of the game have different kind of attacks that will help him to be effective against small and large groups of enemies. Later through the game you will be able to unlock number of abilities that will enable you to execute many different attacks and finishing moves. The developers also detailed the three paths of character development, alchemy, swordmanship and magic.
Alchemy allows you to prepare for upcoming combat by drinking different potions that can increase your perception, or enhance your weapons with oils.
Magic will enable you to combat multiple enemies at a time, while if you decide to develop your character to be more of a sword fighter you can unlock a number of new deadly effective moves and executions. The game will also feature a great number of weapons to choose from be it melee or ranged, and some of the items you discover during the game will enable you to create deadly traps.
The game's visuals are also a sight to behold with it's epic vistas and huge environments, the game looks like it will be quite a treat to RPG fans.
The game is set to release on May 17 for PC.
