Medal of Honor Warfighter Confirmed
The sequel to 2010's Medal of Honor will be called Warfighter and will once again feature Tier 1 special forces.
Electronic Arts has finally officially announced the next Medal of Honor game, titled Warfighter. Medal of Honor Warfighter is the sequel to the 2010 reboot of the series which brought the franchise to modern-day Afghanistan instead of World War II battlegrounds of the previous games. The new game will continue the story of Tier 1 operators.
So far, little else is known about Warfighter. EA has posted a single piece of artwork from the game and promised that more details will be revealed in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, GameInformer reports the game is powered by DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine and that, unlike the previous title, both multiplayer and single player are being developed in-house by Danger Close Games.
Medal of Honor Warfighter is set to launch in October this year.
