Gabe Newell Confirms Counter-Strike: Global Offensive SDK Beta This Week
According to Valve's Gabe Newell, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive mappers and modders can expect to get their hands on beta version of SDK tommorow.
Counter-Strike community was always working hard on releasing new maps that were made by fans, a side of those official maps that are made by Valve's developers directly.
This will be the case with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as Valve is going to continue to encourage development of custom maps and mods. This was officially confirmed earlier today by Gabe Newell himself as he replied to an e-mail sent to him directly by one of game's fans known as Mitch. According to Valve's head, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community can expect the release of beta version of SDK to be released soon, most likely, together with tommorow's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta update.
To add, as it seems, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be powered by Steam Workshop which basically means that mappers and modders will finally have a chance to promote their creations better then ever before.
Excited?

Hell yeah, was actually thinking when they would release it as I have always liked making maps, and CS:GO will be no different.
