Dragon Age 2 Pre-Order Gear Unveiled
Bioware has revealed the extra gear that will be available to all those that pre-order Dragon Age 2.
Everyone who purchases Dragon Age 2 through pre-orders will get to play with shiny toys unavailable in other version of the game.
The sword Fadeshear will do bonus damage versus demons and undead while gaining power as the player levels-up. According to the lore, Fadeshear is an ancient blade that was created to fight the demons of the Fade. It was reforged countless times and had many masters before it came to Hawke's possession. The other part of the set is The Lion of Orlais, a shield that used to belong The Golden Prince. It has two rune slots and increases health and experience gain while equipped.
Just as EA and Bioware did with Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network, all legitimate Dragon Age 2 purchasers will receive a code that will grant them access to The Black Emporium, a kind of black market of exotic that lays beneath Kirkwall.
The Emporium will feature a magic item and crafting store that gets prime quality items as the player progress through the game. Among the items and trinkets will be the Mirror of Transformation - a trinket that enables to quickly change Hawke's appearance and a loyal Mabari war hound. Unlike the Mabari from the first game who was a full-fledged party member, this one will be summonable through the use of a trinket.
