Battlestar Galactica Online, the space combat MMO based on the sci-fi TV show series, is set for open beta.

The in-browser Battlestar Galactica Online MMO is going to enter the open beta phase on February 8, announced the developer Bigpoint on the game's forums.

For now, English will be the only official chat language, but the client will also support French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Turkish with separate localized BGO forum for each language.

The already existing servers will be renamed, so the EU Beta Server will become “Tauron” and the US Beta Server will be renamed to “Scorpia,” with another additional server, “Caprica,” opening in the US.

As for the players who are already in the closed beta, all of their accounts will remain on the renamed servers.
