cuz i could use a new graphics card -
I am a die-hard MMO player that's why! :) -
With a family of gamers and limited income we have to pick and choose which games we buy. The Secret World has been on my list since I got to play the beta. As for the graphics card nvidia kicks ass and would be a nice upgrade in my 6 year old comp.

I loved TSW when it first came out and for a few months afterwards. But after months of the same bugs, often around ten a day, and often game-breaking, I'm looking for a new game. Running 5 Nightmare instances in one evening only to have the final boss on two of them break, and break in the exact same way they have dozens of times before, and the same way they broke in Beta, is just terrible. Darkness War alone has dozens of bugs and every week when we run it, we see the zone deteriorating just that much more. On the 3rd boss, the graphic for his huge area effect attack is so rarely where the game shows it to be that it's laughable. The 4th boss has triple the adds more times than not. The last boss has adds that will, half the time, get up after you kill them and become bombs again, often unkillable bombs that sprint instead of the 'slow walk' they're supposed to have. In the last few weeks, he's taken to just randomly killing people across the field. Instances of people just dropping dead with the combat log giving no reason are increasing. And through it all, when you petition the GMs copy and paste, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." The Raid even, the newest content other than missions there is, has started bugging when we loot. Last week we had 2 talisman upgrade items drop at the same time, not a very rare occurance. We had 1 person roll Need on one of them but he won both. These are items that will allow a person to upgrade a 10.4 Talisman or Weapon to 10.5. The only place they drop is this single raid. The only raid TSW has. And when we petitioned, we had a GM tell us, "I'm sorry but there's no way for me to know that this dropped from the raid you're in." To which I replied, "Really? Because the raid is the ONLY place it drops..." But they couldn't give it to the real winner, or wouldn't. And that's TSW. I spent all weekend playing the Beta for Neverwind and ran into 2 small bugs. 21 hours total time played. If I had spent 21 hours playing TSW there would have been more than 20 bugs, easy. TSW is a great concept and it looks great on paper, but in reality it's a broken piece of junk that makes Funcom money and until it stops making them money they apparently have no plans on sinking any of their profit into actually fixing it or even maintaining it. It's sad because it had vast potential. I bought a lifetime membership and as such don't have to even pay for the new content that comes out for it, and I'm done with it. It's sad when a game is completely free for someone and they can't stand to play it because it's so broken, but there it is. -
I actually have never encounter most of these issue. I get the death with no explanation but that's really it, and I've done one of those raids...weird -
I was in the beta for this, it has some intriguing ideas, the gameplay wasn't half bad, and the story was interesting. I will admit the cash shop and some other things were a little off putting, but it was entertaining.

Description
The Secret World is a massively multiplayer online game from Funcom, where players must battle the forces of darkness that is threatening our world. Imagine if every myth, conspiracy theory and urban legend was true. Imagine if your worst nightmare came to life. Imagine a world where vampires hunt for mortal blood in dingy London nightclubs, where werewolves lurk in the sewers beneath Seoul, and where the undead prey on the living in the shadows of New York City. This is the premise for...
