Gabe Newell and JJ Abrams, the director of new Star Trek movie, and TV series Lost have taken first steps to produce Portal and Half-life films.

I think the original HL is due something like this... I mean, it's been years since it came out and is well entrenched in gaming lore, but for non-gamers it's still a bit of a mystery! If they made a film, we would finally be able to share ALL the jokes in the confidence that everyone will get it, even if they have only seen the film and never played the game! unless it turns out like Doom... ... ... -

It seems that the gaming industry is increasing its focus on multiplayer games these days, while the pure single-player games are in a decline.
