Red Fly Studio Lays Off 30 Employees
Austin based developers got into problems after they had to cancel a high profile project.
Red Fly Studios, the Austin Texas based development team that is best known for the Mushroom Men games, Nintendo consoles versions of Ghostbusters: The Video Game together with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Thor: God of Thunder, suffers from lay offs.
Recently, 30 staff members had to separate their ways with the studio after a high profile project was reevaluated and then canceled.
CEO of Red Fly Studio, Dan Borth said: “Red Fly has been an agile, passionate company from day one, and while this news was very difficult, we've made a concentrated effort to reinvest in ourselves and the way we want to make games. Currently, we are all very excited about our new opportunities and working diligently to make them a reality.”
