Treyarch's first-person shooter hits $360M at North American and UK stores.
One year ago, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 came out and became a legend by earning $310M during 24h sellout cycle set on November 10, 2009, on USA and UK market.
Less then a year after, Activision COO and CFO Thomas Tippl announced that their product Call of Duty: Black Ops made $360 million at USA and UK retailers also in 24h cycle. Counted in boxes, Black Ops sold through 5.6 million copies while Modern Warfare 2 sold around 4.7 million.
Tippl also added: "I have every confidence that Tuesday's sales are just the first milestone in what will be a tremendous year for Call of Duty and for our company," at the BMO Capital Markets 18th Annual Digital Entertainment Conference.
This game is on our radar so as soon there are any news related to it, you will be informed ;).
