This extremely talented squad has a little bit of everything that has merged into a perfect package for them to take the Black Ops 360 scene by storm with Royalty Gaming. Team King will be replacing the Royalty squad of Black, Riddlez, Bissell and Tommey.

We’re extremely delighted to welcome back 2 ex Royalty players back into our ranks with this new team. Firstly the team captain: Curtis “King” Angus who was part of the old Royalty 360 Black Ops squad and attended events such as Reflex GT 2 with the team. Curtis, now back where he belongs is an exceptional captain, a well-known veteran throughout the scene and a fantastic player in game. He has this to say on returning to Royalty: “I’m very excited about announcing my new team, I’ve had a great year with my old team, but feel its time to say completely good bye. I wish Zak, Ellis, Sam and Tommy the best of luck in the future. I look forward to playing you bean heads at LAN. Thank you to Gavin for bringing in this new team and giving us a chance. P E A C E!”

Also returning to Royalty under the guise of the new squad is Alex “Hammers” Scargill. Widely known as the best PS3 player in Europe before making the move to Xbox 360. Alex had great success on PS3 scene with H2k where he won the chance to attend the Gamestop finals in San Francisco and of course Royalty.PS3. He is highly regarded throughout the gaming scene, at one point being voted the “Best player 2010” by EUeSports.com. Now he is ready to better those achievements on Xbox with Royalty and he spoke to us about back home: “I'm extremely excited about rejoining Royalty. After my experiences of playing for the organization on the PS3 side, I knew that when the opportunity arose to represent them on the 360 side of things, it was something I couldn't turn down and jumped at the chance. I feel the high expectations of the org are something we as a team can live up to. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gavin for giving us this chance, despite being a relatively new team. Oh and hi Pritch  <3”

Along with “King” and “Hammers” two new faces complete this strong new line up. The first of them being another ex PS3 player and up and coming star of the 360 scene in Darren “McGee” McGee. Ex apeX player Darren is a raw talent who proved his worth at ECL 2, making the FFA finals against all odds. Darren’s wonderful mindset and attitude adds the team’s brilliant chemistry and together with Hammers the ex PS3 boys form a deadly combination in game.

Completing the lineup is Alex “Candy” Cartwright. Alex is widely known as having one of the best shots in the game and whose gun skill is considered to be one of the finest in Europe. With a string of impressive online achievements and with Royalty Gaming and his teammates behind him; Candy looks set to make it back to the top of the 360 Black Ops Mountain.

Royalty Owner Gavin Baille commented on the recruit of Team King: “I would like to welcome Darren aka McGee and Alex aka Candy and 2 players who have been apart of Royalty in one way or another over the past year they are Curtis aka King and Alex aka Hammers. For those who don’t remember, King was in the departing COD squad’s roster for Reflex and then dropped to a 5th because of work and Hammers was a part of the dominating Royalty.PS3 COD lineup for MW2. This lineup is new and fresh and full of up and coming talent and I am really excited to have them representing Royalty for ECL3 and future events.”

“As mentioned briefly above the current lineup of Zak, Tommey, Sam and Ellis will be departing Royalty once the finer points of their release have been concluded.”

Team King have the perfect mix of experience and youth and a superb balance of gun skill and teamwork which will no doubt see them dominate the Xbox 360 Black Ops scene in the months to come. It’s the end of an era at Royalty Gaming, but also the start of a new one, as we can’t wait for Team King to start representing and winning things for Royalty in both online and of course offline events around Europe. Royalty Gaming is back on the up!
