More Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Details And Facts
On the 21st of September 2009, after being asked about the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 via Twitter, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has pointed out: "No. Honestly we have no clue what our next game is. I'm planning on taking a nap for three months. And then maybe I'll wake up."
If that statement was true, development of the game started in January 2010 and is set to be released in November 2011. If we count in that the game will enter the gold phase most likely in August-September 2011, we can easily count that it will take around 20 months to Infinity Ward and SledgeHammer Games to develop newest Modern Warfare game from scratch.
So what? Well to be honest, this is an impressive achievement since Mr. Bowling said that they don't have a lead platform. According to Mr.Bowling, Studio isdeveloping each version of the game alongside each other.
But, there might be a problem.... Well, after the recent teaser trailer, there were plenty of reports saying that the studio is favouring Xbox 360 version of the game in front of the PS3 version. According to the reports, first version of the reveal trailer had a Xbox 360 logo at the end with a message telling viewers to pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Xbox while there was nothing about PS3 version. Currently, if you decide to check out the reveal trailer yourself, you can easily notice that the Xbox logo got removed. It seems that Activision has decided to remove it to avoid PS3 community backlash ! To remind you, all of this can be true since it is known fact that PS3 owners of Black Ops or any other Call of Duty series game get the DLC's at least 1 month after the Xbox users.
