League of Legends
Been playing Caitlyn the new Champion since they released her. I gotta say she is alot of fun but takes a little skill to use as she really doesn't have the best of skills to help her kill champions with burst dmg. She is more of a long range killer but seems that she is always targeted in most team fights. Well that is what it feels like most the time. If any one has any tips or ideas maybe builds for her post a comment. Currently I normally get a Meki Pendant, Mana Potion, and Health Potion to start. I build the Meki Pendant into a Tear of Goddess then I get boots normally Berserker's Greaves unless we got disables on other team I get Mercury's Threads.

After my boots I turn the Tear of Goddess into Manamune after I then get any item I can from there, if I have enough for a B.F. Sword i get that, if not I get a Zeal. My ending items are normally The Bloodthirster, or Black Cleaver, after that I finish off Zeal into a Phantom Dancer, My last item is normally Inifinity Blade.

Nice guide, I took the liberty to update it with League of Legends item icons, if you don't mind :)

On topic: I didnt play with Caitlyn , but I like to play Tristana. Is the gameplay similar to Tristanas'? And what melee, damage hero do you recommend?
kiba, 01/09/2011
Oh Tristana is a little different cause she has different moves from Caitlyn, with her I normally like to get a Vampiric Scepter, then get tier 1 boots. After that I would build a Phage cause she is really good with one at the start since she has her Q (Rapid Fire) skill that gives her attack speed.
Thats how I like to start it anyways, but there are different ways depending on your play style.
I have a noob account if you want to play sometime I know I own her, you can see my items or way i play just let me know. My noob account is kibaichi.

Hi, I saw this featured on the Summoner Showcase for this week, so good job on that. As for your cait inquiry.
I play cait as my AD carry main, so i have a lot of time on her. She's definitly best as a solo lane character or with a baby setter. You're build is a little to mana intensive. For PvP sustain/durability/damage i'd recomend:
Boots and 3 health pots or 2 health/1 mana pot to start.
Lane as long as possible. Around 6-9 i usually go back. I get 2-3 dorans blades (good health and damage for cost) and try to finish my beserker boots. From there i go:
Blood thirster - > phantom dancer -> Last whisper -> infinite edge
Sell the dorans when you need the room and pick up a defense item (banshee's/warmogs) if you need it. I like to get last whisper over inifite edge first because it lets you wreck buildings and makes your Q poke a lot harder. For skills i Take Q, E, W. Max Q then E. Always lay down your traps when off cool down in area's you think ganks will come from. Typically if i lane hard i can break middle turret around 9 minutes. Good luck! Great art!

For Cait's build I recommend Berserker's greaves, Bloodthirster, Phantom Dancers, Infinity Edge, Last Whisper and either a Frozen Mallet or a Black Cleaver depending on how much armor they have. With this build you WILL kill yourself attacking tanks with thornmail, in that situation you should think about replacing the Black Cleaver or Frozen Mallet with another Bloodthirster of life steal item to give you higher than thirty percent life steal. If you use this build you will routinely have the largest crit and often the highest physical damage.
Yes cait gets focused a lot, one thing you may be able to do is let others get the last hits on champs so the enemy team doesn't think you're that good and they are less likely to focus you. Cait can push mid like a boss if you play her right, be very aggressive with your basic and save head shot for champs if you can, if your against a squishy you can keep them very under fed. I use clarity and teleport which will allow you to stay in lane and keep your tower up as well as buy.
I am developing other builds but this one has served me well in the past.
